The Delay execution rule introduces a time delay during the execution of the jobs. This rule is applicable when you want to execute a job with a selected delay execution time.
- For the selected asset, let us configure a Delay execution rule.
- Place the cursor on the asset and right-click on it to view various options ‘Add asset’, ‘Add rule’ and ‘Delete asset’.
- Click the Add rule.
- A Configure rules to the asset slide window appears from the right side of the page.
- Select the Delay execution rule.
- The delay execution rule can be configured on an asset in (05 sec, 10 sec, 30 sec, and Custom). time intervals.
Note: By default, the delay execution is set to 05 sec.
- Selecting the Custom radio button enables you to customize delay execution time in Second/Minute.
- Set the delay execution time in Seconds by selecting the Custom radio button.
- Click the Save and Close button to schedule the job.
- Click the Save and Add button to view the ‘Configure rules to the asset’ slide window.
If multiple assets are added to an existing job. You can save and rerun the new job assets from the More option.
- Save: Click the Save button to save the edited job details.
- Rerun: Click the Rerun button to rerun the saved job.
- Click the Schedule button to schedule the created job.
- The Schedule Job slide window appears from the right side of the page.
Note: By default, the Schedule Later radio button is selected.
Schedule Now: Immediately schedules a job.
Schedule Later: Schedules a job based on the set time.
- Select the Schedule Now radio button.
- Click the Apply button.
- The Successfully Scheduled Job page displays the Job name.
- To view the job execution details, click the View Run Details button.
Note: You can click the Edit Job or Edit Schedule button to modify the job and schedule details as necessary.
The Run Results tab provides the job execution details with Job name, Tags, Sessions, Scheduled By, Started On, Ending On, and Alerts.
- The asset displayed in green color signifies the job is executed successfully or else the asset displayed in red color signifies the job execution has failed.
- Double tap on the asset to view the Execution summary of the executed asset.
- The View Config and Run details buttons are displayed in the Execution summary.
- Clicking the View config button redirects to the Designer, where the asset pipeline is displayed.
- Clicking the Run Details button redirects to the Designer Log window, where you see the Detailed and Visual Logs of the executed asset.
Note: The View config and Run details buttons are available for every executed asset.
- Now navigate to the Run Results window of that particular job and click the Session Details tab.
- The Session Details page displays the session status (Success/Failed/In-Progress) with additional information.
- In the Run Results window click the vertical ellipses beside the text ‘Alerts’.
- The Job details, Edit Job, and Edit Schedule drop-down list appears.
- Job Details: Displays Session Details.
- Edit Job: Edit an existing job.
- Edit Schedule: Edit an existing scheduling option.
- To edit an existing job and view executed job summary, click the Edit Job option from the drop-down list.
- The selected Job page is displayed.
- After editing the job, click the More button beside the Schedule button to view Save and Rerun options.
- Save: Click the Save button to save the edited job details.
- Rerun: Click the Rerun button to rerun the job with modified job details.
- Place the cursor on the asset and double-tap it.
- The selected asset (node) summary is displayed along with the configured Delay execution rule.
